to me out of the dust is a very strong powerful story! its extremley upsetting that th baby died inside the mother! i can`t imagine the pain billie jos mother feels! there are a lot of strong things that happen in the story. for exemple:the fact that the baby died inside the mother, billie jo poring hot oil on her ma by accident! the story "out of the dust" is actually very moving to me! thats just my opinion though it is a powerful story overall! what do you think about "out of the dust"?
i find 'out of the dust" an uplifting story that is realistic! just imagine what your life would be like if you lost a baby or got severley bad burns form your own daughter! but by accident! i believe that out of the dust can bring many familys out there closer to each other!
to anwwser mrs.heers question i would say that it is appropriate that haren hesse talked about these events and addede these events in the story "out of the dust"..... i will continue my anwser stay tunned and don`t go anywhere please thanks!
i agree with shaily because i really honestly cuss alot and i would honestly like to do them more than old boring punishments. all the punishments really are is cutting someones head off. woo. definatley cussing is more fun.
The topic that I am researching is breakfast foods in Elizabethan time. (Eating Habits in Elizabethan Time) breakfast foods usually consisted of soup and grain products, but rarely contained meat.
My topic was Fashion accessories in Elizabethan times. Brocades anyone?! Brocades were layers on top of layers of heavy-cut velvets, lace, gold, buttons, cords, and ribbons. Brocades were glued onto dresses to make dresses look fancier for the queen. I know what you might be saying ‘Why go through all that trouble?’ The answer: It showed wealth. It was fine to be uncomfortable, but you had to show wealth. wip

I think a good conclusion should have the same details, question,or sentece that you used in the opening sentence. You should end in a question or a statement that supports the opening sentence.Sum up what you wrote, and leave it with an interesting question or statement.
Extra Credit: my topic was elizabethan fashion. i researched that the amount of ruffles on a dress showed a women's status in society. whether she was upper class or lower class. the way women dressed said alot about them. the saying "never judge a book by it's cover" did not apply to women in shakespeares times at all!
